Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced setting. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring that all food safety standards are met. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, and marinating ingredients Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment Ensure proper food handling and storage practices to comply with health regulations Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal service Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and communicate needs to management Participate in menu planning and development as needed Requirements Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred Robust skills in cooking, food preparation, and meal assembly Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with staff Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends A passion for the culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the food industry Job Type: Full time Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2owxap
