Catering Chef (Brampton)

Here at Fire It Up BBQ Catering we are a full service barbecue catering company that serves all across the GTA & beyond. We specialize in providing charcoal barbecue catered events that are full service, cooked and served on site, buffet style. Unlike a food truck, we show up to an event location, set up & cook on site, outdoors. Whether it be a park, backyard, job site, condo, fairs, festivals, corporate location, we accommodate any and all of our clients needs. We are looking for energetic, motivated and dependable cooks to join us for this upcoming spring/summer catering season. We typically offer full time employment from early April to mid October with additional events taking place all throughout December for the holiday season. This job is perfect for post secondary students returning home from school, entry level applicants and anyone with a desire to earn during the busy season. Any applicants with previous catering or cooking experience is gladly welcomed as well. some daily responsibilities include but are not limited to: Daily food prep Cooking on a Charcoal Barbecue light cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dishes etc Following a packing list Loading and unloading a cube truck/sprinter van Driving cube truck/sprinter van to/from events Cooking at events setup and tear down of event equipment Interacting with clients Delegating tasks to ensure events run smoothly Smart Serve and valid Ontario food handlers are welcomed, however not required. hiring typically takes place during early to late April with additional hirings throughout the summer to fill vacancies.
