ABA Instructor Therapist (Brampton)

ABA Therapy Instructor Therapist Brampton or Mississauga- Contract Position - Day time and after school hours or weekdays or weekends Nexus Therapy is looking for skilled Instructor Therapists to provide aba therapy services to children in the home setting. Candidates are responsible for implementing treatment plans for preschool and school age children, and adolescents (ages 0-18) under BCBA supervision. Positions available in Brampton, Mississauga and surrounding areas are in-home. Starting Rate: $90.00 per 3 hour visit $60.00 per 2 hour visit Day time therapy sessions on weekdays or weekends are a minimum of 3 hrs from 9-12, 10-1 or 1-4 pm. Therapy sessions after school are a minimum of 2 hrs from 4:30-6:30 p.m or 5:00-7:00 pm. Access to a car and driving to the client's home is required. Key Responsibilities: - Implement the ABA / IBI program related to the needs and goals of the client under BCBA supervision - Support client goals through implementing strategies and monitoring progress. - Data Collection and communication with BCBA. - Maintain a positive rapport with the interdisciplinary team, including the family. - Create and maintain a healthy and positive environment for the client to promote progress. - Provide consultation and education to the family regarding the client's needs and goals. - Create optimal opportunities for learning by including the family into the therapy sessions. - Candidates must adhere to the policies and procedures of the company. Qualifications: - Educational and or Clinical background in applied behavioural analysis - Experience implementing ABA teaching strategies with children ASD and learning disabilities. - Excellent communication and analytical skills along with strong organizational abilities. - Enthusiastic with the ability to connect with children and work successfully within the team. - Independent, self motivated, yet willing to accept guidance and feedback from Supervisors. - Valid Drivers License and access to vehicle during working hours. - Available to work during the day, evenings, and optional weekends. - Vulnerable Sectors Check website: Job Type: Contract Pay: From $30.00 per hour Experience: - ABA Therapy experience in autism centre: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: - Driver's licence and access to a car (required) - Permanent residency or Canadian Citizenship (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pdo0k
