POSITION SUMMARY The objective for this role is to enable and equip our team with an excellent individual who is capable of leading software and infrastructure related projects from end to end considering complex business requirements, strict quality standards and project timelines. Reporting to the PMO Manager, you will be responsible for successful delivery of software and infrastructure related projects of varying complexity. You will develop and manage all aspects of project engagement from planning, communications, resources, budget, risks, external vendor relationships, and issues. You will work closely with our technical team in charge of design implementations and will be expected to collaborate with other teams such as development teams, QA, and internal/external stakeholders. THE SKILLS THAT SET YOU APART Excellent communication and collaboration skills Excellent time management skills Excellent analytical problem diagnosis, investigation and solving skills Ability to work independently and with members of a dedicated team Results-oriented with a disciplined approach to documentation NICE TO HAVE Qualified project management training or certification – CAPM, PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM Exposure to change management, portfolio reporting, or capacity planning practices KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Lead technology projects of varying size and complexity from initiation through delivery, adapting your approach (structured or streamlined) based on what the project demands Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, and stakeholder communications Track milestones and proactively adjust plans, resources, or scope to keep projects on track Conduct stakeholder interviews to define scope, priorities, and constraints Develop project charters, business cases, and cost justifications where warranted Engage IT and business stakeholders to support the design and delivery of solutions spanning multiple technologies Hold stakeholders accountable for their deliverables and work with them to course-correct when needed Translate technical work into clear, understandable milestones and updates for non-technical audiences Contribute to the development of PMO standards, templates, processes, and governance frameworks Help define and refine how we prioritize, intake, and report on the project portfolio QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in business, information systems, computer science, or a related field 3+ years of experience managing technology projects (infrastructure, web, cloud, or software) Experience working in both large and small business environments, or in organizations at different stages of operational maturity Solid understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum) and the judgment to apply the right approach to the right situation Familiarity with the system development life cycle: planning, analysis, design, testing, and deployment Understanding of platforms and technologies such as Azure, web applications, and databases Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate with technical teams and senior leadership with equal clarity Self-motivated and resourceful, comfortable taking initiative without heavy oversight Organized and capable of managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira and Smartsheet Canpar Express is committed to Employment Equity and encourages applications from all qualified women and men, including aboriginal peoples, persons with disabilities and visible minorities. #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pohvp
