Farm Equipment Operators, Pierson

Feland Brothers Farm is a large-scale, modern grain farm located at NE 5-1-29 W1, in the RM of Edward, Manitoba (near Pierson, MB) and NW 6-1-32 W1, in RM 2 of Mount Pleasant, Saskatchewan (near Carnduff, SK). We are currently seeking to hire 12 farm equipment operators for work on farmland located throughout Southwestern Manitoba and Southeastern Saskatchewan, as well as in North Dakota. Successful applicants must have a valid passport with the ability to travel cross-border on a regular basis.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Hours: Minimum 30-50 hours per week average, with longer hours during peak productions periods. Required to work overtime, weekends, days, evenings as required to meet production requirements.
Salary: CAD $24.49/hour (employees will be paid through US payroll in US dollars at a rate equivalent to CAD $24.49/hour)
Benefits: 4% Vacation pay; successful applicants may be eligible for a monthly performance bonus

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
Education: No formal requirement
Credentials/Licensing: Valid Driver’s License (Manitoba Class 5 or equivalent).
Experience: Minimum 1 year of related work experience, experience operating tractors, sprayers, combines, and seed cleaning equipment is an asset.

JOB DUTIES:
• Operate farm machinery and equipment to cultivate, spray, harvest, load and unload crops
• Perform common maintenance and minor repairs to farm equipment and machinery
• Maintain or assist in maintaining farm equipment/machinery, advising management of malfunctions that may require attention
• Adhere to safety protocols
• General farm duties as related to farm equipment and machinery
• Ability to operate GPS system in farm equipment
• Experience operating tractors, sprayers, combines, and seed cleaning equipment

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, physically demanding.
