Job Description BioLife is seeking part‑time plasma donor screeners/phlebotomists to work 4‑6 hour shifts, 3+ days per week. The role focuses on greeting donors, collecting plasma, recording vital signs and finger‑stick results, maintaining accurate records, coordinating donor compensation, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Answer phones and greet donors, ensuring donor safety.
Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger‑stick results.
Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, and maintain accurate records.
Coordinate donor compensation.
Identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company‑approved procedures.
Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Current license or certification in the state where duties will be assigned: Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1 (CPT1), Certified Phlebotomy Technician 2 (CPT2), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT).
Minimum 1 year experience working in a customer or patient‑facing role.
Ability to walk, stand, lift 5 lbs., and occasionally lift materials up to 32 lbs. (rarely 50 lbs.).
Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear due to potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1).
Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
