Seasonal Utility Person for Public Works, Brandon Region (Killarney)

The Municipality of Glenboro South Cypress is hiring a Seasonal Utility Person for Public Works to assist with vital community operations. Candidates should be ready for flexible scheduling and various maintenance duties throughout the summer.

This role demands availability for a minimum of two 8-hour days weekly, providing assistance via equipment operations and essential services under the Public Works Supervisor’s direction. Responsibilities include operating commercial grass cutting machines, garbage trucks, and performing general maintenance tasks. A valid Manitoba Driver’s License and the physical ability to lift about 50lbs are required for all applicants.

Key Responsibilities:• Operate grass cutting and maintenance vehicles • Conduct assigned general maintenance tasks • Aid in garbage collection and related services • Maintain the cleanliness and readiness of equipment • Support seasonal projects through active participation

Requirements:• Must have a valid Manitoba Driver’s License • Able to lift weights of approximately 50lbs • Provide a recent Criminal Record and Driver’s Abstract • CSA approved steel-toed boots are required • Must have a working cell phone
