Pelton Shepherd Industries is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to design, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes and systems. This role focuses on increasing efficiency, quality, safety, and automation while reducing costs. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, project leadership experience, and a passion for continuous improvement and innovation. The Manufacturing Process Engineer is responsible for developing and improving manufacturing processes, layouts, and equipment. This role leads process improvement and automation initiatives, manages engineering projects, and collaborates cross‑functionally with production, quality, R&D;, and operations teams to meet production and business goals. Design, optimize, and improve manufacturing processes, layouts, and workflows Develop and integrate manufacturing automation, robotics, and automated systems Troubleshoot and support automation hardware including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, relays, and VFDs oversee installation and commissioning Analyze production and process data to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and root causes Lead process improvement and engineering projects, including cost estimation and progress tracking Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory, and GMP design requirements Collaborate with production, quality, R&D;, operations, and external vendors Create and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and process reports Identify and implement cost‑reduction opportunities without compromising quality or safety Stay current on manufacturing technologies, automation, and industry best practices Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical Engineering, or related field Minimum 5 years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering Experience in manufacturing, food processing, or cold storage environments is a plus Technical Skills Experience with manufacturing automation and robotics integration Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, relays, and VFDs Proficiency with CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies (Green Belt a plus) Strong Project Management Skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Ability to access all areas of the manufacturing facility and interact with equipment Opportunity to drive automation and innovation Hands‑on engineering role with direct impact on operations Collaborative manufacturing environment focused on continuous improvement Apply today to help shape productive, innovative, and automated manufacturing processes. # Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2orts4
