Join the University of the Pacific as a Grants Post-Award Accountant and contribute to effective grant management. This position focuses on financial reporting and compliance while assisting faculty and staff with funding management. The Grants Post-Award Accountant plays a crucial role in compiling and analyzing financial data related to various grants. With oversight from the Grants Accounting Manager, you’ll prepare journal entries, monitor transactions, and conduct fund balance reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with university policies and GAAP standards. Key Responsibilities: - Manage accounting functions for grant awards and funding - Prepare detailed financial reports and cash drawdown reports - Conduct reconciliations and variance analysis promptly - Facilitate communication with faculty on grant compliance - Assist in audit preparations and quality assurance tasks Requirements: - Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Accounting - Minimum one year of relevant accounting experience - Proficient in accounting software, particularly Banner Finance - Solid analytical and critical-thinking skills - Excellent communication abilities for working with diverse populations Drive improvements in grant management systems while ensuring fiscal responsibility at the University of the Pacific.
