Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in meal preparation and food service, with a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. Duties - Prepare and cook meals according to menu specifications. - Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety regulations and standards. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items. - Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management. - Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food service during peak hours. - Participate in training current kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Skills - Proficient in meal preparation and food handling techniques. - Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. - Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen. - Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures. - Previous experience in the restaurant or food industry is preferred but not require Job Type: Seasonal Pay: $17.60 per hour Flexible language requirement: - French not required Language: - English (preferred) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2oaxar
