Role Description The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the initial setup and administrative management of new shipments, ensuring all transportation movements are properly organized before execution begins. This role works closely with carriers, trucking partners, and internal operations staff to coordinate bookings, secure capacity, arrange transportation, and prepare shipment files for operational handling. Key responsibilities include requesting and confirming carrier bookings, coordinating trucking and drayage arrangements, creating and organizing shipment records, managing scheduling calendars, and issuing initial shipment communications to all involved parties. The role also supports the company’s financial workflow by assisting with invoicing preparation, vendor bill management, and general accounts coordination. Serving as a critical link between sales, operations, carriers, and accounting, the Logistics Coordinator helps ensure that shipments are accurately setup, efficiently transitioned into operations, and supported through a structured administrative process that enables smooth execution and scalable growth. Qualifications - Solid Analytical Skills and problem-solving capabilities to optimize logistics processes. - Effective Communication skills to coordinate with clients, team members, and carriers. - Customer Service expertise to address issues, build relationships, and ensure client satisfaction. - Experience or knowledge in Inventory Management and Supply Chain Management to oversee efficient operations. - Proficiency in using logistics and inventory management systems is an asset. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a proactive approach to challenges. - Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field is preferred.
