Welding Supervisor Brantford

A growing fabrication shop is currently hiring an experienced Welding Supervisor to lead our day shift. The successful candidate will bring a strong background in welding and fitting, excellent leadership capabilities, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings. What We Offer Excellent Wage Full time, permanent position Benefits package available Chance to work in a dynamic, hands-on custom fabrication environment Responsibilities Oversee all day shift operations, including schedule and labour efficiency Supervise and support a team of welders, fitters, and general labour staff Read and interpret blueprints and ensure work is completed accurately and to spec Address employee issues including attendance, performance, and training Monitor job progress, budgets, and timelines; escalate issues as needed Ensure strict compliance with safety policies and procedures Train and develop staff, particularly in welding/fitting best practices Support quality control and initiate corrective actions when non-conformances arise Assist in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations Operate shop equipment as needed (crane, forklift, etc.) following proper safety training Communicate effectively with management and other departments Minimum 7 years’ experience in fitting and welding (Required) Strong blueprint reading skills (Required) Supervisory or leadership experience in a welding or manufacturing environment Knowledge of steel fabrication techniques and processes To apply, please submit your resume.
