Youth Life Promotion Advisor at Kanikonriio (Brantford)

Join the Kanikonriio Child & Youth Program to enhance the lives of youth aged 0-18. As a Youth Life Promotion Advisor, you will provide critical support for mental health issues and addiction services. Reporting to the Manager of the Kanikonriio Child & Youth Programs, located in the Six Nations of the Grand River, this full time role involves a range of responsibilities. You will design individual care plans, lead pro-social groups, and create programming aimed at improving mental wellbeing. Additionally, you’ll offer crisis coverage and referral services to families and youth in need. Key Responsibilities: - Assess and develop individual care plans for youth - Create and deliver programming promoting mental wellbeing - Support families in crisis on an as-needed basis - Collaborate with local schools for programming assistance - Integrate culture and land connection into all services Requirements: - Experience working with children and youth in crisis - Strong understanding of mental health and addiction issues - Familiarity with local schools and community programs - Commitment to culturally relevant support and programming - Excellent communication and collaboration skills Make a meaningful impact on the lives of youth through holistic support and community engagement.
