Position Summary As a member of the Unit Patient Care Team in the Emergency Department, the Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) provides direct nursing care to patients in accordance with the philosophy, objectives, policies and Standards of Nursing Practice. The RPN works under the direction of and in conjunction with other regulated health care professionals. The RPN participates in service and hospital‑wide activities and programs that promote a safe and healthy patient‑centered setting and contribute to quality improvement and risk management initiatives.
