About the Role We are seeking a Manufacturing Team Lead to support the production and outfitting of specialized container systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is best suited for a strong leader who can organize, support, and guide a Production Team while maintaining high standards for safety, quality, communication, and accountability. The successful candidate will help drive production efficiency, Team development, workflow coordination, and daily execution while working closely with production, engineering, and material teams to meet deadlines and changing production requirements. This is a leadership-focused position within a hands-on manufacturing environment. The Team Lead is expected to remain actively involved in day-to-day production activities while also leading the Team, coordinating workflow, resolving issues, and helping maintain productivity, quality, and safety standards across the operation. This role will work closely with and report to the Production Manager to build a successful, efficient, and accountable Production Team. Key Functions & Duties · Lead by example in daily production and assembly activities · Assign and coordinate tasks based on production priorities, deadlines and employee strengths · Support the outfitting and assembly of container systems and related components · Read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and production documentation · Ensure work is completed accurately, safely and efficiently · Monitor production flow and help resolve manufacturing bottlenecks · Identify quality concerns early to minimize rework and delays · Coordinate with Engineering, Materials, and Production Teams regarding drawing revisions, shortages, and workflow issues · Support training and development of Team members · Maintain high standards of housekeeping, organization, and safety within the work area · Enforce PPE and safety requirements consistently · Assist with troubleshooting fitment, assembly, and production challenges · Maintain accurate labour tracking and production reporting as require · Adapt to changing priorities, prototype work, and evolving production requirements Health and Safety - Reporting Hazards/Unsafe Working Conditions - Following all PPE/Protected Work Instructions - Understand responsibilities related to the Provincial legislation Environmental -Work to achieve Environmental objectives -Understand how their tasks/activities impact the environment -Report Environmental concerns Qualifications and Skills · Prior leadership, Team lead, or supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment · Strong leadership, communication, and Team coordination abilities · Ability to organize workflow, prioritize tasks, and support production deadlines · Ability to coach, train, and support employees constructively · Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills · Ability to maintain professionalism and composure under pressure · Commitment to safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement · Ability to work effectively is a fast-paced and changing environment · Experience working in manufacturing, fabrication, industrial assembly, or similar production environments · Basic understanding of technical drawings, production documentation, and manufacturing processes · Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and general production equipment safely and effectively Additional Assets · Experience is custom fabrication, modular systems, aerospace, military, or defence-related manufacturing · Experience working with prototype or rapidly evolving products · Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, labour tracking, or digital work instructions · Forklift or material handling experience · Basic knowledge of welding, electrical, HVAC, or structural assembly systems What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: · Takes ownership and accountability · Leads with a hands-on approach · Communicates clearly and respectfully · Works well with cross-functional Teams · Stays solution-focused during production challenges · Balances urgency with attention to detail and quality · Helps build a strong and capable production team Work Environment · Fast-paced manufacturing and production environment · Combination of leadership responsibilities and hands-on production work · Use of PPE and adherence to safety standards required · Standing, lifting, and physical production work required daily Why Join Us · Dynamic and innovative manufacturing environment · Opportunity to work on specialized and evolving projects · Collaborative team atmosphere · Ability to make a direct impact on production success and team development · Growth opportunities within a rapidly developing operation Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $45,000.00 per year Benefits: - Casual dress - Dental care - Disability insurance - Employee assistance program - Extended health care - Life insurance - On-site parking - Paid time off - RRSP match - Vision care Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ogwae
