The Maintenance Technician conducts, maintains, tests and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. Applies knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation. Lyn, ON Travel: No Language: English JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: - Follow all required work safe practices. This would include but is not limited to: lock-out tag-out, PPE, confine space safety awareness, chemical safety, fall protection, etc.; - Perform all tasks in accordance with company safety and GMP policies/guidelines; - Troubleshoot, maintain and repair high-speed manufacturing, packaging and facility equipment; - Troubleshoot, maintain and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment; - Make adjustment to equipment ensuring the proper performance and safe operating conditions; - Assist maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting; - Advise operators and line technicians of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components; - Document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance performed, aiming to achieve maximum plant availability, with a target of zero unplanned downtime; - Perform preventive maintenance functions as directed; - Install equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications; - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions; - Install, start up and shut down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements; - Maintain cleanliness of work area; - Support and help implement continuous process improvements; - Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: - Technical Diploma or accredited apprenticeship program of the equivalent in a technical field; - Three (3) year applicable experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; - Knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes; - Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and effective communication with peers, supervisors; Burnbrae Farms’ Vision is to grow into a world-class egg business using the strength of our people to develop leading edge products and processes.
