Heavy Equipment Operator/Operations Manger (Cardinal)

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator/Operations Manager to oversee and execute construction and earth-moving projects. This role requires extensive experience in heavy equipment operation, including excavators, skid steer, backhoes. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and leadership skills to manage operations efficiently while maintaining safety standards in office. This position offers an opportunity to lead construction projects with a focus on site development. Duties - Operate a variety of heavy construction equipment such as excavators, backhoes, to perform earthmoving, grading, paving, and site preparation tasks. - Manage daily operations of construction sites, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and within schedule. - Conduct routine maintenance checks and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance. - Oversee the safe use of equipment by team members and enforce safety protocols across all operations. - Coordinate with project managers and team members to plan work sequences and allocate resources effectively. - Supervise and train operators and crew members in the proper operation of heavy machinery and construction techniques. - Implement best practices for specialized construction activities. - Maintain detailed records of equipment usage, maintenance schedules, and project progress. - Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards during operations. Experience - Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment - Strong mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. - Experience in construction projects involving, site development, or similar fields. - Prior management or supervisory experience overseeing construction crews or operations is preferred. - Valid G driver’s license is mandatory - This role demands a dedicated professional with a comprehensive understanding of heavy machinery operation combined with leadership capabilities to manage complex projects effectively while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
