St. Lawrence Lodge is a modern, 224 Municipal Long Term Care Home, overlooking the beautiful St. Lawrence River. Part-Time Cook Requirements: - Ontario Secondary School Diploma - Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program in cooking (e.g., Cook, Institutional Cook, Assistant Cook) under relevant Ontario legislation - Culinary certificate or diploma from an approved institution (Red Seal designation considered an asset) - Experience in institutional food, cooking, delivery & practices - Knowledge of the use & cleaning of equipment used in the department - Accurate reading, writing communication & comprehension skills - Current CPIC – original Step 2 CRC, less than 6 months. old - Occ. H&S; Awareness training for workers cert. and online Surge education required - Must be willing to commit to scheduled shifts. - Wage rate as per the CUPE Collective Agreement.
