Mental Health Registered Practical Nurse - Brockville (Prescott)

This part time temporary position is available at the Brockville Mental Health Centre, focusing on secure treatment. In this role, you will work 0.5 FTE on various shifts to provide specialized nursing care tailored to mental health needs. The Secure Treatment Unit offers a dynamic environment where your expertise in practical nursing will aid in rehabilitation and community reintegration. Eligible candidates should have a current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario and relevant practical nursing experience. Key Responsibilities: • Implement care protocols in response to assessments • Conduct physical and mental health assessments • Collaborate with the inter-disciplinary team for treatment • Administer medications and monitor patient progress • Facilitate therapeutic relationships with patients Requirements: • Registered Practical Nurse with current CNO credentials • CPR/AED certification acquired within the last 2 years • Understanding of mental health legislation and standards • Strong communication skills in English • Commitment to patient-centered care and professional growth Leverage your nursing skills to enhance the lives of individuals at The Royal.
