SAP S/4HANA Upgrade Project Manager Duration of the contract: 8 months. Languages: English, French (optional). A brief Job Description The SAP S/4HANA Upgrade Project Manager will lead the planning and execution of an upgrade from an existing SAP S/4HANA version to the latest release (2025 target). This role ensures the upgrade is delivered on time, within scope, and compliant with governance and regulatory standards Key Responsibilities Project Planning & Governance - Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations aligned with global program milestones. - Establish and maintain RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies). - Ensure compliance with SAP Activate methodology and internal governance frameworks. Execution & Delivery - Oversee all phases of the upgrade lifecycle: preparation, sandbox testing, development, QA, and production cutover. - Coordinate integrated testing (validation, regression, performance). - Manage change control processes and ensure business continuity during and post-upgrade. Stakeholder Management - Act as the primary liaison between IT, business process owners, SAP consultants, BASIS teams, and external vendors. - Provide regular status updates and executive reporting to senior leadership. Risk & Compliance - Identify and mitigate project risks proactively. - Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements (especially for industries like pharma or life sciences). Business Readiness - Drive change management, training, and documentation readiness. - Support user adoption and post-upgrade stabilization. Required Qualifications Experience - 10+ years in SAP Project Management. - Proven track record in SAP S/4HANA upgrade projects (e.g., from 2020/2021 to 2023 or later). - Experience in highly regulated environments (pharmaceutical, biotech, life sciences preferred). Skills - Solid knowledge of SAP Activate methodology. - Expertise in Supply Chain and Manufacturing workstreams. - Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. - Familiarity with multi-vendor coordination and global project governance. - Integration Certifications - PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent. - SAP-specific certifications (optional but preferred).
