Reporting to the Transport Manager, the person holding the position collaborates with the various players in the supply chain to coordinate transport movements and ensure a high level of customer service.

THE ROLE

Coordinate and offer shipments with road and intermodal carriers using the TMS in place;

Track loads in transit to ensure on-time deliveries;

Optimize route planning to maximize efficiency (weight and/or cube per trailer);

Suggest ways to optimize operations to support performance;

Inform customer service, the supply chain and/or the various factories/warehouses/suppliers of any anomalies or delays;

Support carriers with daily operations (deliveries to customers, etc...);

Approval and processing of certain freight invoices via TMS.

PROFILE

College diploma related to logistics or any other related training;

Ideally Five (5) years of experience in the field of logistics;

Excellent communication and customer service skills;

Initiative and resourcefulness;

Proficiency in French and English (written and spoken, to collaborate in Canada and the United States);

Able to work in a rapidly changing environment.
