Cake Decorator/Baker (Burlington)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cake Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that all products are prepared and presented to the highest standards. This position requires a passion for baked goods, building cakes, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties - Assist in food preparation, including baking, decorating, and packaging bakery items. - Follow the recipes accurately to ensure consistency and correct ratios - Provide great planning and organizing of bulk orders - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and serving areas according to food safety guidelines. - Able to use the POS system smoothly - Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with restocking as needed. - Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods. Requirements - Previous experience in food service or the bakery industry is preferred. - Previous cake baking and decorating experience preferred. - Great knowledge on layering and building large cakes is preferred. - Confident in building and decorating layered cakes for orders. - Solid time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. - Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential. - Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated. - Experience with cashiering and operating POS systems is a plus. - A background in bakery or kitchen experience is beneficial but not required.
