Our Mining Division in Eastern Canada is growing, and we are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer co‑op to join our team in the Burlington office. This will be a fall term co‑op.
About The Role
Assist more experienced engineers in preparing, coordinating, and reviewing deliverables.
Prepare and review technical documents under the guidance of experienced specialists.
Prepare simple plans, designs, calculations and cost estimates under guidance from senior engineers.
Prepare proposals for new work.
Apply mathematical calculations and basic engineering principles to solve defined problems.
Assist in preparing and maintaining engineering and drawing lists and files.
Work and liaise with engineers and other staff across the business in a range of engineering tasks.
Maintain high‑quality work and meet project deadlines.
About You
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
A strong desire to learn and an enthusiasm to grow professionally.
Experience with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD (preferably those familiar with drafting process flow diagrams and piping and instrumentation diagrams), and general engineering software packages.
Excellent communication, planning, and organizational skills.
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
