Make a meaningful impact as an Advocacy and Communications Advisor with the Canada Chamber of Commerce in Ethiopia starting August 2026. This volunteer role focuses on advocacy and strategic communication to enhance Canada-Ethiopia trade relations.
Join a energetic team in Addis Ababa for three months, working to bridge policy advocacy and communications. You will develop strategic frameworks, prepare policy briefs, and engage key stakeholders to support economic policies that benefit both Canada and Ethiopia.
Key Responsibilities: • Prepare policy briefs on trade and investment strategies • Create high-quality digital content showcasing success stories • Organize webinars and B2B networking events • Manage a monthly newsletter to share trade insights • Monitor advocacy initiatives using digital analytics
Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in International Relations or related field • 3 to 5 years experience in corporate communications or advocacy • Proficiency in English; French is an asset • Knowledge of content management and graphic design tools • Understanding of AfCFTA and trade diversification strategies
