Experienced Cook for AgeCare Residents, Burlington

Contribute to the well-being of residents at AgeCare as a Cook, focusing on providing nutritious meals and maintaining a safe kitchen environment. Your culinary skills will support a person-centered approach in long-term care.

As part of our Long-Term Care residence team, you'll ensure that meals are prepared according to regulations and served promptly. This includes checking special dietary orders and managing resident concerns effectively. You’ll have the opportunity to lead Food Services Workers, ensuring a seamless operation of our Food Services Department.

Key Responsibilities:• Prepare and serve meals based on dietary requirements • Maintain clean and safe cooking environments • Address dietary inquiries from residents and families • Conduct supervision of Food Services staff • Cross-check special diet needs for new admissions

Requirements:• Experience as a Cook with supervisory experience preferred • Safe Food Handling Certificate required • Education minimum: public school; high school preferred • Certification or diploma in food preparation desired
