General Labourer (Contract) (Burlington)

Job description: Ancaster Court Surfaces is a family-run company specializing in tennis court and running track construction. Based in Burlington, On., we work both on commercial and residential projects throughout the greater area. Job Summary We are hiring for our Track crew, installing rubber surfacing systems. This is a full-time, physically active role suited to strong individuals available to work long hours and are seeking consistent work throughout the season. This is 5 month contract. *Significant out-of-town work required; employees will often travel to job sites and stay in company-paid accommodations for multiple consecutive days or weeks (typically returning home on weekends) Travel, accommodations, and meal allowances are provided during out-of-town work. Responsibilities - Handle and transport materials - Repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs - Operate hand and power tools - Stand and walk for most of the workday - Work safely with materials that may produce fumes or dust (PPE provided) - Keep work areas and tools clean and organized - Follow direction from on-site supervisors - Follow all company safety policies and procedures Requirements - Valid Full G Driver’s License - Clean driving abstract - High School Diploma or equivalent Qualifications - Ability to perform physical labour - Strong attention to detail - Positive interpersonal and organizational skills - Team-oriented attitude - Comfortable with early mornings (long days) - Construction or labour experience is an asset, but not required - Experience operating forklift (certificate) preferred, but not required - Experience painting/surfacing is an asset, but not required Schedule & Work Conditions - Full-time seasonal position - Monday–Friday - Occasional weekend work - Overnight travel may be required - Outdoor work in various weather conditions - Active construction sites Benefits · Uniform shirts provided · PPE allowance provided · Training provided · On-site parking · Competitive pay · HSA account Additional information This description reflects the general nature of the position and is not intended to list all responsibilities.
