Construction Estimator (Burlington)

Description The Construction Estimator will be responsible for a variety of tasks within our Construction Division from tracking bid opportunities, estimating architectural quantities and costs, scope reviews, bid follow-ups, tracking win/loss rates, etc.. The Construction Estimator is a team player and a vital member of the Beverly Caulking Team. After 65 years in business, Beverly Caulking has grown from a small, regional Caulking Company to one of Canada’s most recognized Caulking and Firestop Contractors. We have proven success in all sectors including: residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial markets. We expect that the Estimator, will work within a team environment and be responsible for but limited to the following: - Complete quantity takeoffs and costing. - Review specifications to verify scopes. - Attend scope review / contract award meeting. - Assist in management of estimating and quote management process. - Track and document bid results. - Assist with follow-up calls to customers. - Assist in the Project Management administration tasks including updating project management software to reflect current project status, and tracking and collecting required start-up and close-out documents. - General admin and data entry as required. - Other administrative tasks assigned by management as needed. Qualifications - Must have a valid G2 or G licence and vehicle. - Completion of a Construction Manager program or equivalent preferred. - Be able to read and navigate through architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical drawings. - Efficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, Planswift (or similar take-off software). - Excellent written and clear verbal English communication skills. - Must be able to multitask and prioritize. - Strong attention to detail. - Very strong organizational skills. - Robust interpersonal skills with staff and customers. - Keen understanding of customer care. - Enjoys working in a team environment.
