Job description “Experienced Painter” To Join Our Skilled and Supportive Team! Are you a seasoned painter with a passion for craftsmanship and an eye for detail? At Vogue Painting, we’re looking for a dedicated, professional, and experienced painter to join our growing team and help uphold our reputation for excellence. What You’ll Bring: - Proven track record in planning and executing full-scale painting projects with precision and efficiency. - Expertise in surface preparation, paint selection, and application techniques for interiors and exteriors. - Knowledge of various coatings, finishes, and tools to achieve optimal results across different materials. - Ability to anticipate project needs, identify solutions, and deliver high-quality work within set timelines. - Strong commitment to site safety, cleanliness, and professionalism on every job. - Team-focused attitude with experience working alongside other trades, clients and co-workers. - Independence and accountability, you're someone who can take the lead without skipping the details. Work Experience and specialization: - Reliability, punctuality, strong communication, collaboration and self-motivation skills - Openness to climb a ladder, comfortable with heights and working outdoors (during summer months) - Ability to commute to a variety of job sites all over the Lower Mainland - Minimum of 1-2 years of demonstrated painting experience to prove competency in: - Drywall repairs and patching - Both interior and exterior painting - Caulking and filling of new and/or replaced mouldings (baseboards, window/door casings, crown mouldings, etc.) - Demonstrated experience in planning and executing complete painting projects efficiently and to a high standard. - Strong ability to assess project scope, determine required materials, and organize job sequencing for optimal workflow. - Expertise in various painting techniques, surface preparation, and application methods for different finishes and materials. - Thorough knowledge of paint types, coating systems, and proper usage for interior and exterior applications. - Skilled in identifying potential challenges and implementing solutions to maintain quality and timeline. - Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering clean, consistent, and professional results. - Familiarity with safety procedures, equipment uses, and maintaining tidy, hazard-free job sites. - Self-motivated and organized, capable of managing tasks independently while upholding company standards. - Additional Skills/Items Considered an Asset: - Experience using the Graco brand of paint sprayers - Having access to a vehicle - Experience hanging wallpaper Job Type: Permanent, Full-time Salary: $25.00-$30.00 per hour (a competitive hourly rate based on experience) Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 am to 5 pm, 40 hrs/week (occasionally on weekends, scheduled in advance with the employee's availability). Ability to commute/relocate: Within the Vancouver and Lower Mainland Area Experience: Painting: 1-2 years of experience years Language: English (required) Education: Trades certificate or diploma in painting is considered an asset On-site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely. Licence/Certification: Driver's license (preferred) Vacation: 2 weeks per calendar year and may be paid out to employees who choose not to take vacation days.
