Role Description This is a full-time/part-time on-site role for an English Second Language (ESL) Instructor based in Burnaby, BC. The ESL Instructor will be responsible for teaching English to students whose first language is not English, developing and implementing engaging curriculum, evaluating student progress, and fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Additional duties include adapting teaching methods to cater to the individual needs of students and maintaining up-to-date teaching records. Qualifications - English Teaching and Teaching skills - Experience in Teaching English as a Foreign Language and using effective teaching methodologies - Knowledge of Curriculum Development and Linguistics - Robust communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills - Flexibility and the ability to adapt teaching approaches to learners' diverse needs - Prior experience in higher education or teaching at post-secondary institutions is an asset - Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred) - TESL/TEFL certification or equivalent required Pay: $23.00-$40.00 per hour Benefits - On-site parking Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2o3i5e
