Warehouse & Logistics Operations Lead Fishermen Select Seafood Ltd. Burnaby, BC Full-time $30–$36/hour based on experience Early morning schedule required About Us Fishermen Select Seafood is a growing seafood distribution company specializing in premium live and fresh shellfish supplied directly from Canada’s east coast. We manage our own logistics from the dock to restaurant kitchens across Metro Vancouver and surrounding areas. This is not a large corporate warehouse. We are a fast-moving, hands-on operation where organization, urgency, and consistency matter every day. We are looking for someone dependable and operationally strong to help lead daily warehouse and logistics operations. Position Overview This role is a combination of: - warehouse lead - logistics coordinator - operations support - team lead You will help oversee the daily flow of product through the warehouse while ensuring deliveries, inventory, and packout operations run smoothly. This is a hands-on role. You will be actively involved in warehouse operations while also coordinating staff, inventory, and daily priorities. The goal of this role is to create operational consistency and help reduce owner dependency in day-to-day operations. Responsibilities - Lead and coordinate daily morning packout operations - Ensure customer orders are accurate and ready for dispatch - Coordinate drivers and delivery priorities - Receive and organize incoming seafood inventory - Maintain cooler and warehouse organization - Monitor inventory levels and report shortages/issues - Assist with routing and operational problem-solving - Support customer communication when required - Maintain warehouse cleanliness and food-safe standards - Assist with occasional local deliveries or airport pickups - Assist with basic maintenance and upkeep of warehouse equipment, vehicles, and operational systems - Help improve operational systems and efficiency Requirements - Previous warehouse, logistics, foodservice, or distribution experience - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - Ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Reliable and consistently punctual - Ability to lift 70 lbs - Valid Class 5 driver’s license - Comfortable using computers, Google Sheets, and mobile apps - Forklift experience is an asset - Mechanically inclined and comfortable performing basic warehouse, equipment, and facility maintenance - Ability to troubleshoot minor operational or equipment issues independently - Experience with pallet jacks, forklifts, reefer units, warehouse equipment, or light vehicle maintenance is an asset Ideal Candidate This role is best suited for someone who: - takes ownership naturally - notices problems before they become emergencies - enjoys keeping operations organized - can lead by example - is not afraid of physical work - wants to grow with a small but expanding company Schedule Typical schedule: - Early mornings required - Approximately 4:30am–1:00pm - Monday–Friday with occasional flexibility required Compensation & Benefits - $30–$36/hour depending on experience - Paid lunch breaks - Secure year-round work - Opportunity for advancement as the company grows To apply, send: - resume - brief description of relevant experience - availability We are looking for someone long-term who wants to become a key part of the operation.
