New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is building a team to support a major public sector client in delivering complex enterprise technology solutions across a modern cloud and legacy systems setting. This role will focus on translating business objectives into executable solution designs, ensuring technical readiness, and guiding delivery teams through the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. This is an opportunity to work on large-scale enterprise architecture initiatives involving Azure and/or AWS, modern application platforms, microservices, containers, databases, DevOps practices, and legacy system integration. Responsibilities: - Translate business objectives into solution designs and executable technical plans - Participate in requirements definition and create proof-of-concept plans - Assess technical and operational readiness for scalable solution delivery - Define system components, interfaces, technologies, standards, and architecture patterns - Address non-functional requirements including performance, security, scalability, and reliability - Support design reviews, quality assurance, and transition to production - Provide hands-on coding and developer support when required - Prototype new technology solutions as needed - Verify that solutions are built and documented correctly - Identify and mitigate risks to business processes and solution success - Advise on tools, environments, technical priorities, and implementation approaches - Promote architecture patterns and practices that support flexibility and robustness - Identify gaps in existing code, components, and infrastructure - Contribute to strategic and tactical technology plans - Design solutions that meet privacy, security, and regulatory requirements - Collaborate with security teams on threat modelling and secure architecture - Evaluate vendor proposals and recommend best-value options - Work with product owners, enterprise architects, security teams, and subject matter experts - Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to developers and engineers Requirements: - 12+ years of progressive experience in solution and systems architecture with strong cloud expertise - Experience with large-scale, complex systems, modern applications, and legacy system integration - Expert knowledge of Azure and/or AWS services, such as Azure DevOps, App Services, SQL Managed Instance, AWS EC2, and CloudFormation - Strong development skills in C#, .NET Core, and JavaScript - Experience with Power Apps and Microsoft Dynamics 365 - Proficiency with microservices, Kubernetes, containers, and messaging solutions - Database design experience with SQL and NoSQL technologies, including SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB, and CosmosDB - Familiarity with DevOps and Agile engineering practices - Degree in Computer Science, STEM, or equivalent experience - Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, TOGAF, or equivalent certification is preferred If you have this expertise, and are able to work in Canada, please submit your resume.
