" JOB DESCRIPTION " " We are the Distribution Lines Capital Portfolio within BC Hydro’s Program and Contract Management group. We are responsible for delivering $200 million in distribution infrastructure maintenance and replacements every year. We replace end‑of‑life overhead and underground assets including underground cable, switchgear, transformers, civil infrastructure, poles, and automation equipment. " " We work with stakeholders across the organization including Asset Management, Engineering, Standards, Field Operations, Indigenous Relations, Customer Relations, and more to plan, build, and execute our work. " " What you'll do " " " " - Lead and manage the day‑to‑day delivery of the work, responsible for progress monitoring, reporting, forecasting, problem solving and escalation. " " - Manage a program portfolio with an annual capital budget of up to $30 million. " " - Plan, execute, and deliver a program or subset of programs in support of the Distribution Lines Capital portfolio targets. " " - Analyze and interpret complex financial data with solid analytical skills to drive strategic decision‑making. " " - Engage collaboratively with cross‑functional teams, and internal and external stakeholders. " " - Develop and execute strategies to maximize efficiency and delivery of programs. " " - Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing. " " - Foresee, assess, manage, and escape program risks or roadblocks during execution. " " - Identify and implement innovative and efficient process improvements. " " " " Qualifications " "" " - Hold a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field. A combination of education and relevant work experience may be considered. " " - Have at least 5 years of project, program, and/or contract management experience. " " - Proven experience managing $5M+ budgets. " " - Demonstrated understanding of project and program management principles, including various delivery models, and contracting strategies. " " - Demonstrated expertise in process improvement and change management. " " - Exhibit strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and relationship building. Have excellent organizational abilities for efficient task management. Demonstrate management skills to lead cross‑functional teams and drive program success. " " - Possess advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI is considered an asset. " " - Hold an understanding of electrical systems from generation to the end user, with a focus on distribution. This is considered an asset but not a requirement. " " " " Additional Information " "" " - Job specific safety and corporate training will be provided. " " - The preferred headquarter location for this position is Edmonds, other locations may be considered if the successful candidate is located outside of the Lower Mainland and space is available at other BC Hydro offices. " " " " Flexibility Options " "" " - IBEW/Field – No option to work from home. " " - Resident – Works primarily (4+ days per week) in the office. " " - Hybrid – May be able to work from home up to 3 days per week. " " - Remote – Works from home 4+ days per week.
