Join the Horizon Summer School team as a Sports Instructor, guiding physical activity sessions for elementary students in Burnaby. Engage youths through sports while building their confidence and teamwork abilities.
This full-time summer role is open to candidates aged 15-30 who are eager to lead students through various sports-based games over an 8-week program. You will organize activities, supervise safety, and adapt exercises for different skill levels, supporting children’s overall development while promoting positive behavior. Collaborate with staff to integrate health and wellness education.
Key Responsibilities:• Facilitate daily sports sessions with students • Monitor and ensure safety during active play • Prepare and organize sports equipment and spaces • Maintain detailed attendance and activity records • Coordinate evaluation and gamification of activities
Requirements:• Aged between 15-30 on job start date • Must have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) • Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident • Available full-time for 8 consecutive weeks • Participate in required training workshops
