Landscape Construction&Maintenance Labourer, Burnaby

Healing Hands Landscaping Inc. is seeking a hardworking, physically fit individual to join our team for the Spring 2026 season. This is not just a \"mowing\" job—we are looking for someone with practical, hands‑on experience in landscape construction. You will be a key player in transforming outdoor spaces through hardscaping, planting, and high‑end grounds maintenance.

Responsibilities&Tasks

Construction: Assist in the installation of hardscape features (pavers, retaining walls, flagstone, and decorative borders).

Installation: Plant large trees, shrubs, and perennials; lay sod and spread bulk materials (soil, mulch, gravel).

Maintenance: Expertly weed, prune, and trim trees/plants; operate professional‑grade maintenance equipment (mowers, blowers, trimmers).

Operations: Assist with site prep, excavation, and drainage solutions.

Reporting: Maintain basic daily progress reports and equipment logs.

Safety: Ensure a clean and safe job site at all times.

Requirements (Practical Experience)

Proven Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in landscape construction or a related trade (carpentry, masonry, or general construction).

Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), bending, and kneeling in all weather conditions.

Technical Skill: Experience operating power tools and small machinery (skid steers or mini‑excavator experience is a major asset).

Driver’s License: Valid BC Driver’s license with a clean abstract (required for site travel).

Soft Skills: A \"measure twice, cut once\" mindset, punctuality, and a strong team‑oriented attitude.

Working Conditions

Schedule: 30–40 hours per week. Early morning starts (approx. 7:00 AM).

Environment: Fast‑paced, outdoor work. Must be comfortable with the physical demands of construction‑heavy projects.
