THE ROLE STRIVE are partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing organization in the facilities services sector to support them with a

Senior Accountant on a temporary basis . This business provides integrated, end-to-end services across multiple industries including commercial, residential, retail, and hospitality, delivering seamless operational support to its clients. Due to increased workload and ongoing projects, they are seeking a hands‑on Senior Accountant to join their finance team for a

2 - 3 month contract, on-site at their Burnaby office.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in supporting the month‑end process, financial reporting, and day‑to‑day accounting operations. This is a fast‑paced, collaborative environment requiring someone who can quickly add value.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead and support month‑end and year‑end close processes

Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and working papers

Assist with financial reporting and variance analysis

Support AP/AR oversight and ensure accuracy of transactions

Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor requests

Identify and implement process improvements where possible

Support ad‑hoc projects and reporting requirements

SKILLS&EXPERIENCE

CPA designation is an asset but not required

5+ years of progressive accounting experience

Strong experience with month‑end close and financial reporting

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)

Experience in a multi‑entity or service‑based environment is an asset

Ability to work independently and hit the ground running

Strong communication and organizational skills
