We are looking for a SeniorAccountant to join the Accounting team. Working under the direction of the Director,Controllership the Senior Accountant is responsible for the execution of accountingprocesses related to The Mobile Shop (TMS) business. This role involves supervisingIntermediate and Junior Accountants tasked with assisting in the preparation ofThe Mobile Shop (TMS) financial statements and supporting schedules accordingto monthly close schedules - ensuring integrity of financial information andcompliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Lead the closing processes, including review of journal entries and detailed varianceanalysis.

Prepare, analyze and present accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.

Review sub-ledger schedules, reconcile with the general ledger accountsand resolve discrepancies– ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Prepare journal entries and accountreconciliations for complex transactions.

Manage accounts payable, accounts receivableand banking related tasks.

Review, analyze and provide reports asrequested for decision making purposes.

Design, implement and maintain robustinternal control procedures for all accounting functions.

Serve as the primary accounting point ofcontact for TMS Finance team

Supervise, train and review the work ofstaff to ensure quality of work and adherence to deadlines.

Provide coaching and guidance to staff onprofessional development.

Assist with providing data for corporate taxreporting requirements, audits, insurance claims, etc.

Identify opportunities for processimprovement and automation.

Manage ad-hoc financial projects.

Assist in the development and implementationof accounting goals, policies, priorities and procedures.

Establish and maintain strong, collaborativerelationships with internal and external customers.

Perform other accounting duties/projects asassigned.
