Warehouse Lead (Burnaby)

The ideal candidate will be responsible as the first point of contact for activities, routine warehouse product organization and material handling in regards to product, shipping, receiving and delivery duties. Unload finished goods from containers and pick orders while maintaining an organized yard and warehouse. Supports the warehouse by shipping, receiving, loading and unloading products. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Receive daily orders pick list, pull order and load quartz slabs on truck for delivery. - Unload/load containers/Trucks in a timely and safe manner. - Operate forklift and overhead crane as needed. - Assist customers in a friendly manner. - Train recent hires. - Coordinate and delivery all warehouse activities. - Maintain and organize warehouse/yard. - Familiar with a variety of industry concepts, practices and procedures. - Assist with product order filling as needed. - Follow all safety rules. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES - Ability to think independently. - Ability to work with technical and industry personnel. - Knowledge of warehouse/shipping and receiving functions. - Ability to safely drive forklift. - Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors and the general public. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS - Must have a high school diploma or GED. - Knowledge of warehouse software packages (SAP) scanners,and MS Office proficiency - DZ Licence (Not mandatory but preferred) - Equivalent experience (minimum 2 years of relevant work experience). - Excellent multi-tasking, organization and documentation skills. - Good verbal and written communication skills. - Basic computer skills. - Must be able to operate a forklift and overhead crane. - Must be able to lift 50 lbs. WORKING CONDITIONS - This position may require extended work hours. - This position may require work in hot and cold temperatures and exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, noise, and working in close to proximity to other teammates.
