The hourly wage rate for this position is $28.50 . Final compensation will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. This is a posting for an existing job vacancy Prepares food in accordance with corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations while following established policies and procedures. Ensures consistent delivery of high-quality food service through robust attention to detail, organization, and accountability. As a Chef de Partie, demonstrates ownership of the kitchens, showing initiative, self-motivation, and leadership to support smooth kitchen operations and develop a cohesive, high-performing team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Prepare, pre-cook, and cook food products as directed, ensuring consistency, presentation, and adherence to quality standards in a high-volume environment. - Manage and execute mise en place (foods, garnishes, sauces, dishes, cutlery, etc.) to ensure station readiness and efficient service flow. - Take responsibility for kitchen, maintaining organization, productivity, and readiness throughout all phases of service. - Lead by example by upholding kitchen standards, supporting and guiding junior team members, and promoting a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement. - Demonstrate strong self-motivation and the ability to work independently while meeting operational timelines and service expectations. - Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas in accordance with health and safety policies and procedures. - Label, date, store, and rotate food and beverage products to ensure food safety compliance, product quality, and waste control. - Communicate effectively with all operational departments to ensure alignment, teamwork, and timely execution. - Remain composed under pressure, helping to motivate the team and maintain productivity during peak service periods. - Report maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor promptly. - Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall kitchen and operational success. Qualifications: - Proven cooking experience, including prior kitchen leadership experience considered an asset. - Food Safety Certification required; culinary certification or formal training preferred. - Strong understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and kitchen procedures. - Ability to execute tasks efficiently with accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with industry best practices and standards. - Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong self-drive, while contributing positively to a team environment. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support and influence team members. - Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
