Overview ️ Join Our Team as a Production Print Field Service Technician! ️ Are you passionate about providing top‑notch technical support and problem‑solving within the production print environment? We’re searching for a skilled Production Print Field Service Technician to join our creative team. If you thrive in a fast‑paced, forward‑thinking setting and possess a talent for troubleshooting, we'd love to hear from you! Responsibilities - Perform on‑site maintenance and repairs for production print equipment. - Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly to minimize production downtime. - Conduct regular inspections and implement preventive maintenance procedures. - Install, configure, and calibrate production print machinery for optimal performance. - Collaborate closely with clients, delivering outstanding customer service and support. - On‑site service of MFPs. - Maintain parts and call management as well as accurate records to achieve KPI targets. - Responsible to learn new technologies, maintain accurate records and assist other team members as required. - Lead referrals, assist with customer assessments and solution design (10%). - Break‑fix and customer support (90%). - Seek opportunities to improve territory parts budget and inventory control. - Perform other relevant duties as assigned by management. Qualifications - Demonstrated experience in servicing and repairing production print machinery. - Proficient in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting within a production print environment. - Familiarity with a variety of production print technologies and systems. - Exceptional communication skills and a strong customer service orientation. - Ability to work independently and adapt to diverse client environments. - Network skills: install and troubleshoot basic printing and scanning solutions, Microsoft OS peer‑to‑peer and client side of server environments, familiar with printing from common business apps. - Solutions knowledge: basic understanding of solutions portfolio. - Product knowledge: excellent working knowledge and certification of production systems. - Color skills: working knowledge of calibration and RIP configurations. - Communication skills: excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. - Mentoring and instruction: 10% based on technical expertise. - Pre/Post consulting ability: moderate. - Working directions: requires limited assistance for more difficult problems. - Must be positive, outgoing, self‑motivated and committed to building and maintaining strong customer relations. - Travel within Canada; candidate must provide and maintain valid travel documents at own expense. - Own vehicle and possess valid insurance with appropriate coverage and a valid driver’s license in good standing. - Standby and after‑hours work may be required. - Training may require after‑hours travel and stay‑overs including weekends. - Perform other relevant duties as assigned by management.
