Mandarin Teaching Assistant (Burnaby)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Mandarin Teaching Assistant to support language instruction in a dynamic educational environment. The ideal candidate will work closely with lead teachers to facilitate engaging lessons, assist students in their learning journey, and foster a positive classroom atmosphere. This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in early childhood education and language instruction while making a meaningful impact on students’ development. Responsibilities - Assist lead teachers in delivering Mandarin language lessons to students of various ages and skill levels - Support classroom management and help maintain an organized, safe, and inclusive learning environment - Work directly with children, including those with disabilities, to provide individualized support as needed - Help prepare instructional materials and classroom activities aligned with curriculum goals - Foster effective communication with students, teachers, and parents to ensure clear understanding of lesson objectives and student progress - Support students with math and other related subjects when integrated into language learning activities - Encourage active participation and promote a positive attitude toward learning Mandarin and related subjects Requirements - Prior classroom experience is preferred - Robust communication skills and the ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities - Experience working with children, including those with disabilities, is highly desirable - Passion for teaching, patience, and a nurturing attitude toward young learners - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in an educational setting - Fluency in Mandarin is required; proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with staff and parents Pay: $17.85-$19.00 per hour Benefits: - Casual dress - On-site parking Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pdj3a
