SewerVUE Technology seeks a Mechatronics Engineer in Coquitlam, BC, to design motor-driven wheel attachments for advanced sensor platforms. Drive innovation in pipeline exploration by applying your hands-on engineering skills.

This full-time role focuses on designing, testing, and enhancing robotic systems for pipeline condition assessments. As a Mechatronics Engineer, you will prototype and develop wheel modules that can navigate various pipe geometries and conditions. Collaborate with sensor and software teams to integrate telemetry features and ensure the assemblies are waterproof and durable for harsh environments.

Key Responsibilities:• Design motor-driven wheel attachment modules for MPIS Floats • Select and integrate motors and gearing solutions • Develop torque and speed control systems for varied pipelines • Waterproof and seal mechanical assemblies to IP68 • Document designs and assembly procedures for field crew

Requirements:• Diploma/degree in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering • Hands-on experience in electromechanical systems design • Strong fundamentals in DC motors and gear systems • Proficient in SolidWorks or equivalent • Experience in harsh environment designs
