Senior Protection & Control, Lead Engineer Location: Burnaby, BC. Your role within the team Prepare Protection & Control designs from conceptual to implementation stage for Transmission, Distribution and Generating stations. Perform design work in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code. Prepare single line diagrams, DC/AC control schematics. Design and develop panel layouts and bill of materials and detailed wiring diagrams. Develop cable block diagrams and cable and conduit schedules. Program Protection & Control devices. Work on reports and calculations and perform site visits. Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver projects. Mentor, coach, and supervise a team of junior engineers. Assist in development of technical processes and procedures to improve efficiency. Assist in preparation of proposals. Why choose AtkinsRéalis as an employer? The ideal candidate Holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent. Has 7‑10 years of previous protection & control design work experience in T&D; and/or Generation sector. Has taken courses in Protection & Control at a university level or equivalent. Experience in a consulting workplace is an asset. Experience with AutoCAD and PLC programming is an asset. Willing to learn new technologies and programming of devices. Knowledge and application of the Canadian electrical code. Registered as a Professional Engineer with EGBC.
