Position Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) to support our teaching team in delivering high-quality early learning programs. The ECEA will work under the supervision of a licensed Early Childhood Educator. Key Responsibilities · Assist in designing and implementing a structured daily schedule that supports children’s developmental needs. · Prepare and select appropriate teaching materials and learning resources to enhance classroom experiences. · Provide attentive basic care, including supervision, meal assistance, hygiene support, and rest routines. · Lead open-ended learning experiences that encourage creativity, exploration, and problem-solving. · Observe, guide, and support children in their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development. · Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning environment at all times. · Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and professionalism when communicating with families, while upholding the policies and guidelines of the centre. · Document children’s learning experiences and developmental progress on a regular basis. · Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure consistency and quality of care. Qualifications · Valid ECEA Certificate (BC recognized). · Current First Aid & CPR Certification. · Valid Criminal Record Check. · Strong communication skills in English. · Previous childcare experience is an asset. · Patient, responsible, and team oriented.
