Relocation to Vancouver, BC The District Fitness Manager (DFM) ensures a best in class fitness experience for our team members and club members for their district. Communicate and uphold company standards and lead by example. Bring to life our core values, mission, vision, fitness philosophy and service standards. Lead, grow and develop a fitness team to ensure they are successful in their position. Achieve various key performance indicators, including revenue, member retention and staffing. Job Scope Reports To: VP of Fitness Direct Reports: Fitness Managers and Assistant Fitness Managers & Personal Trainers (2nd line of reporting) Number of Clubs: 7 – 10 Responsibilities District Fitness Management (40% of the time) Ensure that members have access to best in class fitness education, programs and training and that this aligns with company fitness philosophy and service standards. Ensure the fitness team is providing best in class scientific programs and in-person training to their clients. Achieve monthly fitness revenue targets, by coaching and developing the fitness team to attain targets. Review business plans and work schedules; ensure company procedures and practices are followed during the sale, servicing and reporting of sessions. Accurate administration of Personal Training digital files, measurement tracking and workout programs. Address member questions and concerns as they arise; encourage their involvement in fitness programs and services. Staffing & Development (40% of the time) Maintain an engaged and high performing fitness team that aligns with the company goals and values. Responsible for hiring, training and development of the fitness team. Host and conduct large group on-boarding and development activities as needed. Conduct weekly club visits to review performance, including coaching, feedback, career growth and advancement Guide Fitness Managers on how to develop, grow and mediate concerns amongst team members and members. Manage labour budgets, including session hours and non-session hours. Sales & Service (10% of the time) Participate and support in fitness activities. Direct selling and servicing of personal training sessions. Assist in revenue generating activities, including complimentary workouts, supplement booths, seminars/workshops, etc. General (10% of the time) In addition to specific functional accountabilities, the DFM is expected to act as a cross functional manager. This includes, understanding the role and duties of their peers and step-in in to assist members and team members as needed. Education & Qualifications Minimum two years as a Personal Trainer and three or more years as a Fitness Manager required, multi-unit management experience preferred.
