We are seeking a Software Test Engineer to join our Software Verification Team, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and safety of medical device software. Execute and develop software and systems verification and validation tests Contribute to design, development, and implementation of software test automation Draft regulatory-facing test protocols and test reports Assist in creating the verification and validation strategy for in house software and systems Become familiar with and stay current on relevant medical device software standards and regulations, cybersecurity guidelines, and testing best practices Identify, analyze, and report software defects and issues, and work with the development teams to resolve them Our Kardium team is smart, creative, and passionate about developing cutting-edge medical devices to help improve people’s lives. You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science 2+ years of experience with software verification and validation testing Experience with writing specifications, test protocols, and test reports Keen interest in software test automation; experience using test automation tools and frameworks is an asset Proficiency in Java is an asset. Proficiency in Python or other scripting languages Practical knowledge of medical device regulatory requirements and standards such as IEC 60601 and 62304 is preferred As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan. $70,000 - $96,000 (CAD Annually) Total cash – the total cash we’d listed for this position includes a base salary, plus a contribution to a Registered Retirement Savings plan (RRSP) to help support your financial goals.
