Software Developer, CBS Monetization (Burnaby)

Overview Clio is seeking a Software Developer to join its CBS Monetization Engineering team at our Burnaby office hub. All hub-based Clions are expected to be in office minimum twice per week. What the team does We are building the multi‑product, multi‑region monetization platform that helps Clio expand products, services, and extras we sell to customers. We partner closely with Rev‑ops, Sales‑ops, CS‑ops, Marketing, Finance, and product teams to define and deliver impactful projects that advance revenue goals. Day in the Life Collaborating with team and stakeholders, leveraging AI to enhance and improve the monetization platform by shipping high‑quality code, participating in technical decision making, and providing feedback on peers’ work. Driving diverse projects and delivering impactful outcomes with high ownership and agency. Supporting teams that rely on CBS (other engineering teams, sales, support, marketing, finance) by diagnosing, explaining, and solving problems. Teaching and learning – providing constructive feedback and growing from feedback received. Qualifications Experience in software development, specifically building web applications at scale with Ruby on Rails. Experience integrating with Stripe Billing or another subscription/billing system, Salesforce, and/or Avatax. Interest in using AI to improve your craft. Ability to quickly learn new technologies and systems. Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment that includes distributed teams and customers. A portfolio of successful projects (and lessons learned from failed projects). Excellent communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues and customers.
