Landscape Construction Labourer (Orangeville)

Job Posting: Labourer Wage: Starting $18 + Depending on experience DDD Landscape and Contracting is seeking a hard working individual to join our growing team. This is a Full-time, permanent position. We mainly work within the Dufferin County Area. We are seeking a Landscape Construction Labourer with a focus in Hardscaping. Individuals with significant experience/certification, and education will result in wage premiums. Experience with power tools and landscape construction machinery is an asset. We build interlock walkways, driveways, retaining walls, pergolas, privacy screens, stone surrounds, staircases, fences, decks etc. Experience integrating horticultural materials, plants, sodding and trees is a plus. Experience working with natural and engineered stone products: excavating, grading, leveling, laying and sealing of stonework is an asset. - Operate various tools and equipment, including: saws, tampers, laser levels, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc. - Assist and support team members to complete their tasks - Assist in the construction of walkways, patios fences, decks, posts, etc. - Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects. - Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carrying. - Comply with all company policies and regulations. - Experience in the landscape/construction industry, with knowledge of interlock, retaining walls, flagstone, excavators, skid steers, etc. an asset - Capable of operating equipment and tools in a protected and responsible manner. - Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape/construction practices. - Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team. - Ability to walk, stand, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks (lift a minimum of 50lbs) - Preference will be given to candidates with a valid driver’s license Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour Licence/Certification - Driver's License (preferred) Work Location: On the road Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2o36wr
