Description
We are seeking entry level Automation Technicians to join our team. As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting automated systems and equipment. Your expertise in mechanical knowledge, and electrical skills will be crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for following and complying with all Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety & Quality System practices to ensure the control of all food safety hazards. - Must comply with all Health and Safety policies and Procedures. - Installation, setting up, and troubleshooting complex electromechanical systems, including robotic equipment, automated production lines, including motors, drives, sensors, and control units. - Perform preventative maintenance, such as cleaning, lubrication and calibrating systems to ensure optimal efficiencies. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues with robotic equipment and IML automation. - Analyzing and diagnosing equipment conditions, identifying faults and recommending solutions. - Program controls used to operate electromechanical systems to enhance performance. - Proficiency in electrical diagnostics and mechanical assembly - Familiarity with PLCs (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens), motor controllers, and sensors - Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics - Skilled in using testing equipment and mechanical hand tools - Knowledge of safety procedures and basic electrical code compliance - Ensure all tag out/lock out procedures are in place before performing minor equipment repairs or changes - Responsible for continually working towards optimal cycle while maintaining quality parts; ensure all quality procedures are followed - Responsible for reporting and communicating all quality issues to quality and management team - Responsible for training and assisting other set up techs in set up, start up and troubleshooting process - Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area; ensuring all tools and equipment are put back in their place - Other duties as required Skills and Qualifications - Completed post secondary education in Electromechanical or related field. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting ability - Clear communication with cross-functional teams - Adaptability in fast-paced or high-volume environments - Time management and ability to prioritize tasks independently - 2+ years of experience maintaining automated or electromechanical systems - Experience in a manufacturing, robotics, or field service environment - Exposure to hydraulic and pneumatic systems - Familiarity with CMMS platforms or digital maintenance tools If you are a skilled Automation Technician with a passion for precision, we would love to hear from you.
