Accounts Payable Manager (Caledon)

We’re looking for a robust, experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead a high-volume AP function while staying closely connected to the day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on leadership role — ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, supporting their team, and continuously improving processes. What you’ll be doing: - Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, including high-volume invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment runs - Ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions, reconciliations, and month-end close activities - Lead, coach, and develop a team of AP professionals, setting clear expectations and driving accountability - Act as a point of escalation for complex vendor or internal inquiries, resolving issues efficiently - Monitor workflows and identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve controls, and increase efficiency - Partner with internal stakeholders (finance, operations, procurement) to ensure smooth AP operations - Support audits by maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures - Leverage Excel and systems to analyze data, track performance metrics, and support decision-making What we’re looking for: - 8+ years of experience in Accounts Payable, with a strong background in a supervisory or managerial capacity - Proven leadership experience — someone who has successfully built, coached, and developed teams while managing performance - Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment - Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis) - Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments - Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset - Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on when needed Disclosure: This job advertisement is for an existing vacancy and is not for general talent pooling or speculative recruitment.
