AZ Float Driver - Heavy Equipment - Construction & Paving …, Palgrave

Overview We are seeking a reliable and experienced AZ Float Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting paving & construction equipment to various destinations across the GTA and surrounding areas. This role requires a strong focus on safety, vehicle maintenance, and effective route management. Candidates with skills loading & unloading paving equipment onto a float is a requirement and must have at least 3 years experience transporting heavy equipment. Must be available for night work and weekends. Candidate must be able to communicate efficiently in English, both with dispatch, job sites and with customers. Responsibilities - Safely operate commercial trucks to transport paving & construction equipment - Load and unload paving equipment or other heavy equipment as needed - Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations - Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams - Ensure proper securing of equipment to prevent damage during transit - Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during operations Experience - Valid commercial driver’s license with a clean driving record - 3 years prior experience floating heavy equipment - Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and safety procedures Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year Experience - heavy haul: 3 years (preferred) Language: - English (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pds29
